| Job Title: Fitter / Assembler
Reporting to: Production Controller
Location: North West Switch Gear, Morecombe, Lancashire
Function: Control Panel Assembly.
Principle Responsibilities
- Kitting of component parts in accordance with Bill of Materials
- Fitting-out and assembly of control panels.
- Observe Goods Inwards Inspection procedures.
- Observe Goods Outwards, Packing & Dispatch procedures.
- To discharge the above responsibilities in a timely, accurate, conscientious and professional manner.
- Observe the company’s Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental Policies throughout.
- Work in a flexible and cooperative manner according to the fluctuating demands of the business.
Key Tasks
- Identification, selection & picking of components and materials from Stores and Contract Kitting-Racks, in accordance with relevant Bill of Materials.
- Advise the Production Controller or other responsible person in a timely manner, of any unexpected material or component shortages.
- Accurate marking-out, cutting & drilling of control panel assemblies, in accordance with the relevant drawings, bills of material, data sheets, etc.
- Fixing & assembly of components and consumable materials, (e.g. cable trunking/tray, etc.)
- Safe-keeping of all necessary individual component instructions and/or packaging notes for later use.
- Use only materials specified and allocated for each respective job.
- Take account of any special Engineering Instructions issued on a job-by-job basis.
- Ensure that all workshop and individual tooling is fit for purpose and accounted for on a daily basis.
- Always endeavour to protect the Health & Safety of oneself and others.
- Always keep work area clean & tidy.
- Completion and signing-off Job Cards, as appropriate to function.
- Receive Goods Inwards and follow relevant procedures, when necessary.
- Packing & dispatch of Goods Outwards, when necessary.
- Effective personal time-planning and organization to ensure timely, cost-effective and efficient
working practices.
- To assist with other general workshop activities, as and when required.
- Performance of the above and other related tasks off-site on an occasional basis.
- Represent the company in a professional manner in all aspects of the above duties.

Job Title: Wireman / Test Engineer / Workshop Supervisor

Function:
Control Panel Assembly, Wiring & Testing / Supervision of Workshop Personnel.
Principle Responsibilities
- First-line Supervision of Workshop Personnel.
- Kitting of component parts in accordance with Bill of Materials.
- Fitting-out and assembly of control panels.
- Wiring of Control Panels.
- Electrical Safety Testing.
- Functional Testing of Control Panels.
- Observe Goods Inwards Inspection procedures.
- To discharge the above responsibilities in a timely, accurate, conscientious and professional manner.
- Observe the company’s Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental Policies throughout.
- Work in a flexible and cooperative manner according to the fluctuating demands of the business.
Key Tasks
- Provide first-line supervision and immediate job allocation to Workshop Personnel, in conjunction with the Production Controller.
- Identification, selection & picking of components and materials from Stores and Contract Kitting-Racks, in accordance with relevant Bill of Materials, when necessary.
- Advise the Production Controller or other responsible person in a timely manner, of any unexpected material or component shortages.
- Accurate marking-out, cutting & drilling of control panel assemblies, in accordance with the relevant drawings, bills of material, data sheets, etc., when necessary.

- Wiring of control panels in accordance with the relevant schematic wiring diagrams, data sheets, Engineering Special Instructions, etc., when required.
- Visual Inspection of Kitting, Assembly & Wiring processes.
- Ensure safety of operation by means of Electrical Safety Testing prior to energizing equipment for Full-Functional Testing, together with subsequent recording of resultant test data.
- Full-Functional Testing and subsequent recording of resultant test data.
- Safe-keeping of all necessary individual component instructions and/or packaging notes for later use.
- Use only materials specified and allocated for each respective job.
- Take account of any special Engineering and/or Test Instructions/Procedures, issued on a job-by-job basis.
- Ensure that all workshop and individual tooling and Test Instrumentation is fit for purpose and accounted for on a daily basis.
- Always endeavour to protect the Health & Safety of oneself and others, with particular emphasis on the protection and security of the Test Area.
- Always keep work area clean & tidy.
