The UK Controls division of the Worldwide Armstrong group was acquired by AISL in March 2006.  This was seen as a natural progressive fit as AISL was already manufacturing the packaged plant rooms and packaged fire pump rooms that included the equipment from the controls division (formally known as Northwest Switchgear) that manufactured the panels for operating the units and interfacing with the clients BMS.

Controls equipment manufacture is still carried out at our Morecambe facility where they have been producing the highest quality control panels for over 30 years. Working closely with our engineers at Halesowen the established workforce is able to continue delivering quality and service second to none in the industry.

Specialising in the design and manufacture of motor control equipment for applications in Fire, Water & Effluent Treatment, Building Services and a variety of other process and industrial sectors AISL has grown to be one of the UK’s most renowned control panel manufacturers. Working with the package plant room and fire pump divisions has enabled us to design products that are equipped with the highest quality control equipment for maximum efficiency. That same technology is available to all our customers.

Operating in close conjunction with the customer to provide a total solution package, AISL’s products range from fully Fault Rated & ASTA Certified Motor Control Centres containing Frequency Inverters, Soft Start Units, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) and microprocessor based control & monitoring units, through to "off-the-shelf" type O.E.M. motor starters and alarm monitoring panels.
