Armstrong Integrated Systems packaged plant rooms are manufactured in accordance with The Pressure Equipment Regulations 1999.

Enclosure Specifications:

Structure:

  • Heavy gauge mild steel base frame.
  • Hot dip galvanised base to BS EN 1461.
  • Mild steel galvanised superstructure.
  • Slotted superstructure for rapid fixing of attachments.
  • Designed to accommodate the full operating load of the installed equipment.
Floor:
  • Steel floor plates.
  • Finished one coat primer and coated in a zinc rich semi gloss.
  • Joints mastic sealed to provide a water tight deck.
  • Foil faced Celotex insulation board fixed to the underside of the floor to prevent condensation.
  • Floor drain incorporated.
  • Walkways fitted with non-slip rubber mats.
Cladding System:
  • 45mm thick composite insulated building panels.
  • Insulation core LPCB certified to LPS 1180 grade ‘B’ HCFC.
  • Thermal transmittance value of 0.43 W/mēK.
  • HCFC free urethane foam core.
  • Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) of zero.
  • External pre-coated steel sheet 0.6mm thick finished with a Plasticol coating.
  • Internal liner pre-coated steel 0.35mm thick.
  • Inner and outer facings, Class 1 surface spread of flame to BS476: Part 7: 1987, and are Class O, as defined by Building Regulations.
  • External face of the insulated panel has FAA or SAA classification to BS476: Part 3: 1975.
  • Acoustic performance produces a predicted single Weighted Sound Reduction Index (Rw) value of 27dB.
  • The roof shall be dual pitched at 7°.
  • Welded cleats at each gable enable for the attachment of a fall arrest system
  • Performance life of the cladding system shall be 25 years in normal environments.
  • Kingspan XL200 External Coating System Leathergrain finish available in 28 colours.
  • Metallic finishes available upon request.
  • Kingspan KS 1000/900/600 FL-S Flat Stucco Wall Panels, Horizontally Laid, 45 mm thick – XL200 Leathergrain.
  • Kingspan KS 1000 RW Roof Panels, 40 mm thick – XL200 Leathergrain.
Doors:
  • Double or single leaf steel construction.
  • Fully louvered or insulated to suit plant room requirements.
  • Powder coated.
  • High security locks.
Ventilation:
  • Ventilation in accordance with BS6644:1991.
    IGEUP/10 part 1 edition 2 (over 2MW)
  • Ridge Ventilation.
  • Louvred access door.
  • High and low level louveres.
Rainwater:
  • Fitted to each side of the plant room.
  • Available as an option to be constructed to match the cladding system.
Lifting Points:
  • Designed to be lifted from the base.
  • Approved lifting pads welded to the base.
  • Test certification.
