December 2006 - Armstrong launch MBS and win 2 prestigious awards During October, Armstrong Integrated Systems Ltd, Armstrong’s UK packaging division launched the highly efficient MBS Integrated Heating Solution at 2 trade shows and won back to back awards, the first being the new product award at London HEVAR, the second being the Best Innovation in Building Services award at the M&E Event, Olympia. December 2006 - Packaged Plant Rooms for Norwich Union Building Armstrong Integrated Systems have successfully negotiated and secured an order to supply and deliver 2 packaged plant rooms (LPHW and CHW) for Norwich Union on the Project Horizon site.
The order has now been placed by the local branch of the building services contractor, Haden Young. The CHW plant room will be manufactured in two sections and will contain: 4 inverter controlled end suction pumps 1 pressurisation unit and associated expansion vessel The LPHW plant room will be manufactured in 3 sections and will contain: 4 condensing boilers and flue systems. 4 single head boiler circulation pumps 7 twin head in line inverter controlled secondary circulation pumps 1 pressurisation unit and associated expansion vessels. Other equipment to be installed includes air/dirt separators, dosing pots, electrical works, MCC control panels, distribution pipework, valves and insulation. Both plant rooms are scheduled for delivery in April 2007. October 2006 - Fire Pumps business moves to Halesowen The UK Fire pump division of the Worldwide Armstrong group was acquired by AISL in March 2006. This was seen as a natural progressive fit, as AISL was already manufacturing the packaged fire pump rooms and also included the controls division (formally known as Northwest Switchgear), which manufactured the panels for operating the units and interfacing with the clients BMS.
The complete assembly process is now carried out at the Halesowen factory where a massive investment has taken place to install an internationally accredited test cell, develop stock and re-train existing personnel plus hire additional staff to enable AISL to deliver quality and service second to none in the industry.
